Celebrating 150 Years of Stourport Boat Club

The 2026 Regatta was a particularly special occasion, as Stourport Boat Club celebrated its 150th anniversary. With a proud history stretching back to the 19th century, the club has played an important role in the local rowing community for generations.

The annual Regatta and Sprint is one of the highlights of the club's calendar, bringing together rowing clubs and competitors from across the country for a weekend of exciting racing and friendly competition.

But it's about much more than what happens on the water.

The event brings together competitors, families, supporters, volunteers and spectators, creating a fantastic atmosphere along the river and throughout the club. The 2026 celebrations included a packed programme alongside the competitive racing, making this year's event a fitting way to mark such an important milestone.

Putting on an event of this scale takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes.

From organising the racing and preparing the course to managing safety, catering, hospitality, parking and the many other jobs required over the weekend, the Regatta relies heavily on the dedication of Stourport Boat Club's members and volunteers.

The club itself recognises the contribution of the many members who give their time to make the Regatta possible, from course marshals and safety crews to those working in hospitality and supporting the event on the riverbank.

We would therefore like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Stourport Boat Club for putting on such a fantastic event and for allowing The Will Partners to be part of this year's celebrations.
